KA via Online class | Body-Listening Yoga Testimonial

I had two online sessions with my instructor. She listened very mindfully without judgments and helped me differentiate between contaminated thoughts and true feelings. She was very observative to the way I tell her about my feelings and personal physical reactions. She helped me learn to set boundaries the way my body has always been trying to tell me in a way that isn’t forced or supposed to follow the social norm. The way she gives info about the mechanisms and the way the body tries to balance out stress and de-stressing is very informative. It was when I realized that my body has been doing so both consciously and subconsciously.

There was a lot of reassuring that it’s not “always just in my head”. They were responses to crying for my willingness to open up and finally listen to my body’s aches. Like shaking out your feelings and letting yourself take it all in, in your body’s rhythm.

It wasn’t really what I expected as any stereotypical yoga would mean in this way since I’ve never experienced this type of therapy before. There was no “right or wrong”, but just resonance between human beings. She did an excellent job of bringing out one’s true rhythm.
